Who am I?
I am an animator specializing in computer animation. I graduated from the Vancouver Film School in 2000. Since then I have worked on many great projects with some very talented people. Currently I’m working as a Lead animator at Image Engine. In my spare time I've worked on several independent projects, and I'd like to do more. I enjoy collaborating with other animators, film makers, and artists. Some of the independent projects I've worked on include, short films, a theatrical production, documentary, film, and media for an environmental organization. If you need help with your next project feel free to contact me. I currently reside in Vancouver, Canada with my wife and dog.

Portfolio

Work

  • Thug Life

Some of my animation for the movie Battleship ….yes the movie based on the board game. I was Lead animator for this sequence where the Alien “Thug” fights with Rihanna and Taylor Kitsch.

  • The Thing

Some of the shots I animated for “The Thing” prequel 2011.

  • Sea Choice

I made a series of videos for SeaChoice.org and the David Suzuki Foundation. These are a few examples. The Videos are meant to illustrate various commercial fishing methods. Sea Choice and the David Suzuki Foundation are using these videos to help educate the public on the environmental impact of commercial fishing. Please visit seachoice.org for more info.

This was a volunteer project I did in my spare time. I recruited a couple other volunteers to help with the modeling, but I was responsible for the majority of work involved in creating these.

If you need animation done for a worthy cause feel free to contact me and I may be able to help.

  • No Fun City Opening

This is part of the title sequence for an independent documentary called “No Fun City” nofuncity.org

    I helped animate the rat.

  • Speed Racer

Some of the shots I animated for “Speed Racer 2008″

  • AEP Commercial

I was responsible for a large portion of the animation, rigging and modelling for this commercial. We tried to make the origami characters and props work like real paper sculptures.

  • Charlotte’s Web

Some shots I animated for Charlotte’s Web 2006. I’m really proud of the work we did on this.

  • Cats and Dogs II

Some animation I did for “Cats and Dogs II”.

  • Sucker Punch

This is probably the most technically challenging shots I’ve ever animated. This one shot is made up of several different live action shots stitched together with CGI camera moves and digital doubles. I animated the Digi doubles, Camera’s, Robots, and the hero bullets. This shot it was all filmed and animated in slow motion to give the director and editor the freedom to adjust the speed ramps through out the sequence.
